At Sadhana Trust, we believe empowering women is essential to building stronger, healthier communities. Women play a vital role in shaping society, yet many face barriers to education, employment, and leadership. Our women empowerment initiatives aim to break these barriers and help women realize their full potential.
We take a holistic approach that focuses on both economic and social empowerment. We offer skill development programs in tailoring, embroidery, handicrafts, agriculture, and entrepreneurship to help women build confidence and earn a sustainable income. Many women go on to start small businesses, gaining financial independence and supporting their families.
A key initiative is the formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), where women come together to save, access credit, and share experiences. These groups provide a strong support system and help women build financial literacy and leadership skills. We also facilitate access to markets, credit, and insurance services.
In addition to economic development, we work on health, nutrition, education, and awareness of women’s rights. Our programs help women access healthcare, understand government schemes, and speak out against gender-based violence and discrimination. We involve communities and local institutions to create a supportive environment where women are respected and included.
Our impact is visible: women report increased income, improved health, stronger decision-making power, and greater confidence. As one participant, Rukmini, shared, “Sadhana Trust gave me the skills and courage to start my own business.” Another, Lakshmi, said, “I never thought I could read or write. Now I can—and I feel empowered.”
You can be part of this journey. Support us through donations, volunteering, or partnerships. Together, we can create a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive and lead.
